Getting started

Connect Apple Photos and allow the photos you want to browse. Keep the app open while the initial local index is prepared. In Chapters, create or adjust chapters and choose their photos. Open a chapter’s digital book to read, change its theme, or write beside a photo.

Missing photos or sync

Check Taleaf’s Photos permission and whether the originals are available in Apple Photos. Private iCloud metadata sync is optional; use the same Apple account and enable iCloud for the app on each supported device. Originals are managed by Apple Photos, independently of archive metadata. Review the app’s sync status for pending items.

Deleting and recovering photos

Review every system change before confirming. If you delete a photo, recovery is handled through Apple Photos Recently Deleted where available. Taleaf cannot programmatically restore permanently deleted originals.

Purchase

Taleaf is free to download. Create chapters with photos taken in the last three calendar months, without a trial countdown. A single non-consumable in-app purchase unlocks all photo dates for life, with unlimited photos and chapters and no subscription. Existing chapters and notes remain available. Open Library → Settings → Purchase and use to unlock or restore purchases with the same Apple Account. Apple handles payment and refunds.
